Our team (Wealth Wave Team ) had an amazing time at Song Yan Resort for our team-building trip. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful—peaceful mountains, fresh air, and plenty of open spaces that were perfect for our activities. The resort provided the ideal setting for bonding, relaxing, and recharging together.
A very special thank you to Cara, whose outstanding service made our stay so smooth and enjoyable. From helping us with arrangements to ensuring every detail was taken care of, Kala went above and beyond to make our team feel welcome and comfortable. We are so grateful for her warmth and professionalism. Highly recommend Song Yan Resort for any group or team event!

The environment and back-to-nature farm experience were nice, relaxing and refreshing. However, overall it was overpriced and not worth the value. The personalised hotpot experience was replaced with a basic buffet – only 5 types of vegetables, no coffee, no juice, nothing special. Dinner buffet felt more like an economy meal, and breakfast was very simple too.

The stay itself was just OK, but again not up to the price point. Room had no amenities, no slippers, and there were limited facilities – no kids’ room, no cycling, nothing much to do. Service level also really needs improvement.

Good concept, but sadly execution does not match the price.

Stepping into such a natural and cozy environment was truly a pleasant experience. There's no doubt that places like this bring a sense of comfort and relaxation. 🙈

However, I would like to share some feedback regarding the dining arrangement. quite disappointed with the limited selection offered at that price point.

We visited the farm as guests for a day trip (without any overnight stay) and had made a reservation specifically for lunch. Unfortunately, the meal provided on that day turned out to be a buffet with only four dish variations, priced at RM58 for adults and RM28 for children. We were quite disappointed with the limited selection offered at that price point.

Additionally, we were not informed by the management beforehand that the lunch would be in buffet style instead of the expected hotpot, especially prior to making the payment. A heads-up or clear communication about the meal format would have been appreciated and could have helped manage expectations better.

The place is well kept. The staff is super friendly. The young lady, Annie, make us feel so comfortable by explaining while serving the food which are all organic from their farm tat v toured around earlier. The view is mesmerising while having our dinner n breakfast. Love their banana cake n ginger soya drinks. The staff happily refilled the drink n banana cake when v requested. The place is surrounded by pine trees n covered by mist early morning. Feel so refreshing to have a morning walk, feed the goat, goose n short monent of kayaking. There is also a spring water pool to dip in but the base of pool is abit sandy n slippery. Hopefully can improve on it. They also have some self made products such as ginger enzyme n molasses ginger slices tat taste so good. Overall, enjoy my stay wit my family n have recommended some friends to have a relaxing time here too.

The room was spotless and had a stunning view. It’s a perfect retreat surrounded by nature, away from the city hustle. The only downside was that the bed was a bit too firm and the pillow wasn’t very comfortable. Make sure bring your own pillows

Worst resort experience ever.

We booked our stay at Song Yan Resort (one premium cottage and one standard cottage, totaling around RM3,000 for just one night) mainly for the environment and the unique farm-to-table individual steamboat dinner experience, a highlight that was clearly promoted as one of the key attractions. This was meant to be a special family gathering and a celebration of my father’s birthday.

However, we were extremely disappointed to receive a last-minute notice that the dinner arrangements had been changed. Instead of the promised individual farm-to-table hotpot experience (as stated in my booking confirmation), we were only offered a standard buffet, or at best, a shared hotpot option - simply because the number of guests exceeded 40. This crucial change was never communicated to us before booking.

To make matters worse, the staff’s attitude was appalling. One staff member even lied, insisting that what she offered was “individual hotpot,” when in fact it was obviously a shared hotpot. Why would we reject true individual hotpot if it were really available? Such dishonesty is unacceptable and reflects the resort’s complete lack of respect for its guests.

The buffet itself was an embarrassment. Guests were told they could only take one egg per person, dining time was restricted to just one hour, and the so-called “buffet” consisted of only five dishes, comparable to a cheap roadside stall, not a premium resort.

For a place that charges premium rates under the banner of “organic produce,” the quality, service, and attitude were absolutely appalling. The reality fell far below the promises made.

Overall, this was one of the most disappointing stays we have ever experienced. Overpriced, dishonest, and substandard service. We strongly advise others: don’t waste your money here.
