My friend introduced me to this D'Utama club long time ago, but I procrastinated because as my job only faces the computer screen most of the time, I thought I'd never need to develop the skill so soon. Lo and behold, once I joined the club, little did I know that public speaking is just one part of puzzle, it actually encompasses:
- influential communication skills
- thinking on the feet
- mindset development
- peer support
- problem solving and skills enhancement
- how to deal with people & leadership
- protégé, coaching and mentoring
- the program is designed to better ourselves
- organizational skills
- how to run a multinational company
It's truly a case of "don't judge a book by it's cover" - in this case, public speaking is the cover, and the content inside is quite amazing because of the people that I met in this club.

Back then I procrastinated because I didn't think it was worth the traffic jam from my congested workplace, now I really regret for not joining much earlier as I could see the younger members were so grounded yet elegant in how they carry themselves. Do pay them a visit and persevere, talk to the people, as they have also gone through what we are going through in terms or fear or doubts.

An excellent club with a rich history. When I joined the club in 1993 I had overwhelming support from very experienced and dedicated mentors. The club lives up to the spirit of Toastmasters providing an excellenthis platform for Communication and Leadership development. And to top it off it is a place of fun and fellowship😃

I used to be a member of this club and have fond memories of my time here. A great place to pick up public speaking skills, and form friendships with wonderful people from a broad spectrum of life. I would highly recommend D'Utama Toastmasters to all young professionals who want to upgrade their inter-personal and communication skills, at a price that doesn't cost an arm and a leg!!!

It is a non-profit organisation consisting of friendly, dedicated members who are committed to helping others succeed. It is registered with the Registrar of Societies and has established programs in place to ensure the highest levels of professionalism and quality in skills development.
