It’s one of the ferry terminals to Langkawi. The terminal is not clean. Make sure to buy your tickets online from the official website in advance, as they sell out quickly.

Instead of flying to Langkawi, we took the ferry and departed from this terminal. The neighborhood is like a construction area, but the terminal itself is clean and relativ good organized. The day we came to the terminal it was not so crowded and also the ferry itself was not full at all (probably 40% utilized). We did not buy tickets on the ground as we had bought online already back in our home country. But if you travel on a not very busy day you can buy tickets directly on the ground at the ticket office. Tourists pay also slightly higher price compared to locals. The waiting area was in good shape and clean. Toilets available were clean. There is no air conditioning, only ventilators were installed which was fine.

I believe that with the construction around the terminal finalized the complete area will have a better atmosphere, but might take more time.

Soon after the ferry ready for boarding, the process itself was well managed.

The ferry’s are in good shape and seem to be well maintained as well. The a/c in the ferry’s are working very well, so well that I had to wear my fleece jacket.

It took us around 90 minutes to get to Langkawi. Sea level was kind of windy and water splashing against the windows with the ferry going up and down was kind of fun to me.

We did not regret having decided to take the ferry instead of traveling via plane. It was a good experience and I can strongly recommend this travel option to Langkawi.

The jetty is fine but the LOCALS ARE NOT!!!!!!! beware of scammer for parking which charge you very high and illegal. Good trip RUINED BY LOCAL and poor local authorities.

The ferry was old and dirty, seats never been cleaned before. Second floor wasn't accesible but all the seats looked brand new. Also, legroom was so small, we felt like on a low cost plane.

Very rude customer service. We had just entered the prayer room at 8am, to remove our makeup and take wudhu, and there was no one else there. But the staff asked us to leave, saying the room was only for solat and we couldn't sit there. We had just walked in! They asked us to leave twice, without even giving us a chance lol, we were already preparing to leave after the first staff member approached us. The room was completely empty except for us, so it’s not like we were taking space from anyone. They could have at least spoken to us politely.

kaunter beli tiket ferry kuala kedah 1november2025 (2.50pm) kak yg jaga kaunter berisi, pakai spek mata. layanan buruk gilaaaa taksenyum dan banyak mengeluh.

A spacious terminal with seats and aircon. Lots of seats, and toilet facilities too. But when coming in from Pulau Langkawi, we have to walk back into this main terminal from outside to go to toilet.
Kudos to the team at the ticket counter for replying to my enquiry on the internet on whether the ferry is going on as usual or cancelled as I heard it was cancelled two days before I came due to bad weather.
